When Google Account SMS codes do not arrive
Google may ask for a phone number while creating a Google Account, adding a recovery method, signing in from an unfamiliar device, or responding to unusual activity. The text message can be delayed or filtered by a mobile carrier, leaving the sign-up screen waiting for a code. There is also a practical privacy issue: someone setting up a separate project, work, or public-facing Google presence may not want to attach their personal mobile number to it. Google Verification checks are designed to confirm access to a phone channel; they are not always convenient when that channel is unavailable or unsuitable.
Use a temporary route for Google Verification
Our service provides paid temporary virtual numbers for legitimate Google Verification SMS requests. Choose an available country and a Google-related service listing, then select either an activation intended to receive a code or a temporary rental for a selected period. The number and incoming message appear in your order area, so there is no physical SIM card or eSIM to obtain. Copy the code into Google only when the Google screen offers SMS verification. Availability can vary, and Google makes the final decision on whether to accept a number, so a temporary number is not a substitute for following its account policies.
Enter a Google Account verification code
- Open the Google Account sign-up, recovery, or sign-in screen and proceed until Google presents its phone verification step.
- In the service, choose the country you need and select the Google Verification listing.
- Select a temporary activation for a single code, or choose a temporary rental when continued access may be appropriate.
- Copy the temporary number into Google, selecting SMS if Google gives you a delivery-method choice.
- Wait for the message to appear in the order area, then enter its verification code on the Google screen before it expires.
Use the number only for the verification request you initiated. Do not request codes for accounts that do not belong to you.
Keep access available for Google re-checks
A single activation is suited to a Google Verification prompt that needs one SMS code. It may not be enough if Google asks again while you are completing account setup or if a later sign-in triggers another check. Google can request additional confirmation after a browser reset, a new phone or computer, a different location, or activity it considers unusual. In those cases, a temporary rental can provide access to the same temporary number during its rental period. Both choices are temporary: an activation is for receiving a code, while a rental is for a limited period of continued access.
Set up Google 2-Step Verification after entry
Once you are inside the account, use Google Account security settings to reduce reliance on SMS. Add a passkey on a device you control, configure an authenticator app for Google 2-Step Verification, and save backup codes in a protected offline location. Review recovery email and recovery phone details, check signed-in devices, and remove sessions you do not recognize. Google may still request verification based on its security assessment, but these account-controlled methods give you stronger ways to confirm access than depending on a temporary number after the initial Google Verification step.
